This was a very serviceable product. I used it for two and a half years traveling weekly. TSA checkpoint friendly is essential today, especially during peak travel periods when even the TSA Pre-Check lines get clogged with amateurs. This case is well designed with a large pocket in front for gadgets. Some of these Targus bags don’t have enough pockets for holding things, but this one was pretty great. And the dimensions are really good if you’re a road warrior. Easy to fit underneath the seat in front of you, even in coach.Only had a few complaints, obviously related to quality. Full disclosure, though: I’m pretty hard on a bag. First, within a month the zipper on the inside mesh pocket detached. It was a bit flimsy to begin with. The next thing to go was the velcro on the band in the back for attaching it to a roll-aboard. That only lasted about 6 months. Finally, the “pleather” on the hand grip started peeling away after a year and a half or so.Overall, I like this bag and probably kept it in service far longer than a $40 case is designed to be used. Recently tried another Targus case which cost more but it lacked the features of this bag so I returned. I am re-purchasing this one.Read more

Overall, it is 16 x 14 x 5. Exactly the dimensions I was looking for. There is a paper divider in the main compartment and the zip-in-half feature works well to store even more paper/magazines.At the bottom of the laptop section there is a removable foam bar encased in plastic which is velcroed to the bottom of the bag which cushions your laptop from any bumps from setting it down (or hitting the bottom of my bike rack). See the photo I uploaded for more information. One thing to note… the shoulder strap attaches to the same half on each side. I note this because other variations attach at either side of the split, which allows you to open it all the way and still fling it over your shoulder without zipping it up and allows it to hang perpendicular. This one does not, so you will need to zip it up before proceeding past the security section (or use the handle — assuming that the TSA agent does not force you to remove the notebook). Plus it hangs at an angle, pressing into you as you carry it. Not a big problem, but I think it is worth noting and I would have probably preferred it otherwise. The one downside of this case… it protects your stuff and divides it to make everything easily accessible so well that it becomes a bit bulky and heavy and does not hold as much as I’d like. However I deliberately avoided a messenger bag for that lack of padding and organization.Read more

The bag is good as it is. A couple things I wish were different:1) The zipper pulls jingle loudly as I walk.2) Both sides of the strap mount on the back edge of the bag, beside the laptop area. The result is that, when the bag is hanging from the straps, it tilts so the bottom-back of the bag pulls farther back and the top-front of the bag is tilted forward.Read more

I love the 4-wheeled overnighter even more than I thought I would! I have been an airport klutz, constantly feeling burdened by the process of transporting my laptop and other odds-and-endscarry-on possessions — jewelry that I don’t want to check, Kindle, eyeglass cases, Airborne tablets, passport, cell phone, etc, etc, etc — through security and through the airport. This is nicely constructedand has sensible compartments for organizing all the things I would want to bring on board with me.In addition, the “overnighter area,” though relatively shallow, has a lining made of extrafabric AND a zipper. This design allows the area UNDER the overnighter liner to function as a secure compartment forkeeping odds and ends from flying out of the overnighter area when opened. In total, the bag features four external areaswith zippers, plus two internal areas with zippers. The only things that were disappointing were (1) the pull handle seems wobblyand makes me worry a little about its longterm functionality, and, more importantly, (2) that the overnighter does not havea strap that can slip over the handle of a larger suitcase. But the overnighter is sufficiently small that it sits relatively comfortablyon even my smallest suitcase. So even if I have to pay $25 to check my regular suitcase each way, and employ this overnighter asfree carry-on, it’s worth it to have something that will allow me to move in and around airports with far greater ease andorganizationRead more

I searched a lot for a new laptop bag that I could use for transporting my laptop when I am on-the-go. Most cases were either too thin (and not very protective) or too bulky to carry around. I finally found this bag which was reasonably priced and meets my needs perfectly. I definitely recommend this laptop bag for any 15″ laptop.Read more

I purchased this case on March 6, 2019 and I’m reviewing this now on June 7, 2019 to let you know that it’s been left behind at PDX with a busted wheel. I have used this case no more than 5 times since it landed at my front door, and after an extraordinary short period of time, this bag has become useless. Have you ever dragged a dead body behind you? Me either! But I imagine that’s what it would feel like!Read more
