That pesky mangled disc in my back was killing me, carrying the requisite silicon-valley logo backpack around all day. I got the briefcase on wheels so I could look semi professional dragging something for my entire commute, and you know what? it sucked. Kept grinding against my heels, didnt’ fit on the bus, and looked pretty doofy.Returned it, did some research on all the rollers, even looked at luggage. But I just need to carry around a laptop and charger and water bottle here, I’m not taking a trip to Bermuda every day! I don’t need to pretend like I’m about to fly somewhere either, the boss-man ain’t paying for that so why fake it.Then I landed on this beaut. OK, so everybody asks me if I’m a 9th grade girl rather than a Silicon Valley salaryman. I don’t care! I love the stars design, and my back pain says I’m old enough to drag the stars around behind me without shame. And I gotta tell ya, Jansport knows how to make a roller. The balance of this thing! Flies off curbs and never twists. Wheels are ridiculously smooth. Handle is just tall enough for a 6-footer so I won’t hunch. I can stuff all my gym gear and racquets in the back too. It crushes down under a train seat if it’s not too stuffed. The lift handles are super strong. I’ve had it for two months of hard daily use and it’s like new. If my feet were held to the fire to criticize something, it’d be that the zippers can be a little sticky so I’m concerned about them failing if I overstuff or try to zip them in a rush. They could be smoother. On the other hand, the supremely unlimited warranty has got me covered AFAICT.I’m not gonna be one of those people that says “I never write a review but I had to write something about this product” because that would be a big ol lie, I review things I like and those I dislike. However, this I like! In fact this I love. Every single commute with this thing makes me sigh “ah… so easy. That goddam sixty pound laptop floats down the street like it’s on a cloud.”Read more

This bag is exactly like the pic. It’s cute and more importantly, super durable and made well!. I’ve been using this back pack for med school. I always have a ton of super heavy books and everything always fits. It does have a pocket for your laptop but I don’t always take mine. I just use that pocket for notebooks etc. The backpack is large and has tons of room. I was hesitant because of the price of the bag but it was a great purchase and I would purchase again if I needed to. Seems really durable as I pick it up by the handle and lift it in and out of my trunk daily. The wheels and the handle seems sturdy. But it if you need it! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!!Read more

We just put my daughters notebooks in the bag for the beginning of school. The zipper brok instantly. I am so disappointed and angry! Way to go Jansport. Your products used to be so good, but this thing is really cheap. I will never buy another one of your products again. I am sending it to the warranty center, but now I have to spend the extra $ to buy another backpack while I wait for you to do something about your crummy product. Shame on you for making such a cheap product, and for charging so much for it.Read more

So… we had a nice bookbag from last year but with the changes to schooling this year we needed something BIG. There aren’t any locker access so my 6th grader has to carry all her needed books for the day. This bag is PERFECT!!! She can just roll it around school instead of carrying. We weighed her books and they were 35# and being that my daughter only weighs 70# we needed another option and this was PERFECT. Its also awesome that its GORGEOUS! Built well. Very Happy!Read more

I’m a nursing student and needed something durable.. my back had been aching from my Nike backpack. This one saved me from a load of back pain. I love the link camo. Still in great shape after a semester of bad weather and heavy books.Read more

Really love this backpack! I’m a college student and it fits 4 textbooks, a large binder and a laptop WITH room to spare! Really sturdy. I tried an off market brand first that was cheaper and I really should have gotten this one first because you definitely get what you pay for. Also Jansport has a lifetime warranty so if anything happens (knock on wood) I have that just in case! Worth the $$$!Read more

I am very pleased with this rolling backpack. Its large capacity and compartments hold 3 very large books, folders, laptop cushion, and wide notebook, and yet is compact when empty. The product material is thick and durable with strong stable wheels. I can easily roll my way around campus with a large Yeti cup in the side beverage compartment and lunch in tow. The super cute pattern makes for a rolling carry-on weekender bag when travelling. The only caveat is having to carry by the handle up high stairs, which fortunately is rare for me. I am very happy with this purchase!Read more

I was looking for a sturdy rolling backpack for college that would be big enough to hold my books, lunch & laptop, but didn’t cost a fortune. Jansport has a lifetime warranty on their products, and it’s well worth spending a little more for such a high quality item; this bag, at $70, fit the bill perfectly. The construction is excellent; large, solid rubber wheels instead of cheap plastic ones, a sturdy, rubber coated extending handle that you don’t need to hunch over to use, heavy-duty material & zippers. It’s very roomy, with one large compartment that also contains your padded laptop sleeve, a semi-large compartment, a smaller compartment containing velcro-closing sleeves to store your smaller items, and finally a small narrow compartment on the front for easy access to pens, etc. Additionally, there is a mesh pocket on the side for your water bottle, which is quite roomy & easily holds my large Camelbak bottle. The straps are hidden nicely behind a panel when not needed & can be brought out & clipped on the bottom when you want to carry instead of roll. The only problem I can see is that if you want to carry it on your back and the wheels are wet, your back is going to get wet. I put a small microfiber towel in the bag to wipe the wheels if that comes up.Read more
