First let me say, I love this product. I travel extensively and have purchased a number of bags, but this one so far is my favorite. Let me just get one NEGATIVE feature out-of-the-way, you have to take out your laptop when going through security 🙁 I wish they would’ve included a zipper that goes all the way down on both sides so you don’t have to remove your laptop. Boooo! The pluses for this bag in my opinion help overlook a glaring design error. I love the pockets in the front of the bag and the material is superb! I’ve read some reviews that stated it’s smaller than they thought, I clearly don’t understand what they mean. The width is perfect and I love the idea that I could stowaway the handles and carry it with a strap. The material for the iPad and the computer is extremely soft, and it feels extremely professional. It’s got a lot more pockets than what I had originally thought, which in my opinion is a plus. Unfortunately, this bag didn’t work for me. At first glance, it honestly looked too big; I wondered whether I should have ordered the smaller messenger bag. It’s almost as thick as my 20″ Rollaboard. However, the bag is unfortunately poorly designed and despite the width of the bag, not very much fits in it. The bag is basically divided into two halves. One half is comprised of the laptop sleeve and the tablet sleeve. Unfortunately, if you fill one of these, the other isn’t very useful because that half of the bag becomes too full. So for example if you put a laptop in the laptop sleeve, you’re going to have trouble using the other pocket on that half of the bag. The second half of the bag has a large pocket, but unfortunately it contains three fabric dividers which are not removable. So it’s useful for lots of thin items like papers or magazines, but not useful for anything bulkier like a laptop charger, computer mouse, or set of noise-cancelling headphones in their case. The exterior pocket contains all the useful little mini-pockets (of which there are no other within the bag) so it tends to be used most frequently and gets full quickly. Also, by this point of filling the bag with a laptop and the other aforementioned items, the pocket simply didn’t hold very much. It’s well made and matches my luggage perfectly, and I wanted this bag to work. But it is just poorly designed. I am going to return it and look for something of similar size (or even smaller) that’s designed better. Read more

I just reviewed the Crew 11 21″ Carry-on and rate it highly. This Brief bag has storage that will astound you. It integrates with all of the other Crew style from Travelpro and I cannot say enough good things about it. When I purchased it I was slightly skeptical but I went with my intuition based upon may experience with the other Crew product I had recently purchased. Well, was I surprise. In fact, as I have traveled with it I have found features like the built in document section with dividers that keep things separated and easy to find. I can even carry two computers without any trouble. I am sold on Travelpro!! Read more

I have a set of Travelpro small, large, and carry on and bought this to match. The slot for the roller board is designed to work with the travel pro luggage and is just fine. It might be too narrow for some roller boards. I was wary about the zipper problem but solved that by trial and error. When opening or closing the zippers set the bag back flat on its back and press firmly on the front while moving zippers. This releases stress and then the move just fine and don’t get snagged. All and all is it very compact and the shoulder strap is just the right size. I have a HD Kindle and a 13″ MacBook pro and they fit fine in the padded tablet and laptop pouches. There is room on either side of the tablet pouch to put my laptop charger. There is a narrow open pocket on front that I can slip a small umbrella into. Read more

I want to like this carrier. it is very well made, the handles are comfortable and it looks smart. Unfortunately there are two flaws that make it unusable for me. 1) the bag is apparently intended for folks ho cary a lot of very thin items. As in, a few pages thick each. if you have headphones (not earplugs) or other items ~ an inch or so thick, there isn’t really much of a place to keep them. The max is something MacBook thick. There are so many dividers and pockets that the material used to construct them takes up a lot of space. 2) there are lots of cool little cubbies and pockets in the bag, but they all line up across the center. When you fill up one or two, the rest are about unusable because all the “flex” of the material has been absorbed – the ends have no ability to flex out. These little pockets also compete with the rest of the bag regarding the minimal space described in #1. If you intend to carry some business cards,, a few paper files, and a laptop, this is a great bag. Unfortunately for me it doesn’t work well as I need to also carry chargers, extra cables, books, headphones, water bottles, etc. Just not the right form factor for me. Read more

I used to have a leather massager bag previously, and I had always likes a bag like this. However, for the last 10 years or so I lugged a laptop backpack style bag to work like a student!! Then it was looking odd with me in a suit, with a backpack. I am glad I bought this with a matching stroller overnighter. Great brand, great looks and very professional. Everything is placed where it needs to be, making it an intuitive travel companion. Read more

Love this bag. It doesn’t hold much, but it works for a quick trip with only a file or two. I use it with the bigger, rolling briefcase as I travel or move between offices. Travelpro really is the way to go. Read more
